I can’t wait to go to the Apple store. I hope they can save my iPod. =( I just do not want to drop $300 for a new one as much as I wish I could…

Well.

Here I am.

End of the day at my second forensics tournament.

I kinda feel like it is my first “real” tournament since I only competed with one event at TSU and spent the rest of the time watching rounds and freaking the heck out.

Anyway, we are in Berea Kentucky at Berea College (maybe Berea Christian college? not sure)

and… i just thought i would recap whats happened so far.

First of all (and since this is my blog I feel it appropriate that I be able to talk about myself) I am sick. Not like, SICK sick- no vomiting, no crazy butt explosions, and thank GOD no allergic face swelling. No, just run of the mil sick. It’s the same kind of sick I always used to get when I auditioned for stuff during my band days. It never failed. Stuffy nose, then runny nose, headaches, hot flashes like a menopausing woman… sneezing and popping ears.

Chip was so kind as to give me money (well, the money allotted to the team from the school) to go get medicine at Meijer… where we (Rocko and I) walked. And it was a lot farther away than we expected. But. We made it so. No harm no foul I suppose.

Let’s fast forward in to today. I woke up at 8:55 when I heard Kate about to leave the room to breakfast at Bob Evans with Chip, Jana, and Rocko. Long story. Anyone was invited to go but I didn’t feel like putting clothes on.

I woke up and went downstairs in my PJ shorts and *new team hoodie!* and got some breakfast from the continental deal they had going on down there.

Oh. I forgot to mention.
I’m totally doped at this point.
I’d taken medicine (Tylenol Severe Cold and Sinus)the night before at 7:45, then again at 11, and again at 2:45 right before I fell asleep. I woke up at 6 cause I couldn’t breathe, blew my nose, might have peed, took another dose, and went back to sleep. I took another one at 8:55 when I woke up.

I think it must have been the lack of food in my stomach with the closely timed doses of Tylenol that really did it for me. When I got out of bed, I almost fell in to a wall. Going down the hallway, same story. I mean, as long as I had something to hold on to… I was solid. But dude. I was MESSED. UP.

Anyway, I got some breakfast…. kinda beastly breakfast actually. Froot Loops with 2% (gag, I wanted skim) and a bagel. Yeah… ravenous. I know. But dang. Those Loops were GOOD!!

Uh. Well. At some point we got all fancied up and went…. to Steak and Shake. Good. Now my suits gonna smell like grease farts. Haha. It was good though. I had a salad and cottage cheese. I got some apples and grapes too but… they were pretty stank so… I’m fairly sure they are still sitting in a to go cup in the Jana van. Oops.

We got to the tournament and had like an hour to chill, get our schedules, and work on our pieces. There were people like standing around performing for trees, but… Wheezey and I opted for the cooler option and sat on a bench. After we both mumbled speeches to ourselves for a while, I told him about “My mother, she could not stop tying her shoes” (aka, my prose) and then he replied by telling me about a therapist who changed his life (aka, his prose) and it was a jolly good time for the both of us. I think. I’m glad we get along.

Then we headed our seperate directions for 3pm rounds. I went to frost building for prose, wheeze went to the main bldg for the same thing, different section.

I felt really good about the round… until I got to my second page in my book… at which point I dove into the part of my story which is like on the 10th page of my book. I couldnt think fast enough to recover, and said the dumbest thing, EVER. (Quietly) “Wow…. I am sorry.” I got back on track with my prose, which after the intro (which I was so mad about effing up so early on that I stumbled, but fought through) went pretty well. There was a guy in the round who was nodding his head and smiling after I almost fell apart- in a way that I took as “its okay, just keep going, you are going to be fine.” I mean, even if he was just laughing cause I bombed, i felt like he was encouraging me. After the round I thanked him for doing so.

I was a little miffed about that… but I shook it off and went to my Persuasion. there was another girl in there who was SO incredibly sweet. She had a really harsh speech impediment and seemed to have some developmental issues, yet here she was, competing in forensics. RESPECT.

I was first up in the round since I was double entered and had to go to Duo afterward. Persuasion in that round went AWESOME, especially considering the amount of freaking out I did about it (see the whole “im sick from stress
paragraph). I think it really helped that the judge wrote a lot and I didnt have to make a lot of eye contact with him, so I was basically having a conversation about penny auctions with the sweet little girl. After it was over (and I think I saw the judge write 7:19 for my time on the score sheet… oops. Got nervouse and sped up… its supposed to be 8-10) I sat down. I only wanted to have my water bottle in my hands again. Then the judge asked me if I was double entered and I realized whoops… I should be leaving. I laughed and said Sorry! I got really focused on getting a drink of water! and then asked to be excused.

I got to my duos round and hallelujah that there were a bunch of talkative people in there. I hate the awkward silence in between performances. Actually the one initiating the conversation was the same guy who was nodding at me during prose. His name is Doug. Haha.

Wheezey showed up and we peformed our duo. the room was TINY and I backed into the chalkboard once and probably grazed Wheeze on accident too. Oh well. haha. After out duo a couple of girls from TSU went, who were in our round last time… AT TSU. They did this duo about these girls robbing a bank. I really liked it… even though the little one held me at black book point (yeah, she had a gun) at the very end of it and I was a little freaked out about what to do…. so I just kept making eye contact but not reacting…. she literally had the corner of the spine of her book like a half an inch from the temple of my head. Intense.

We finally got out of that round and I headed off for flight B round 1 prose. It went. AWESOME. I was a lot more focused on NOT screwing up… and I think it helped. Also, I was in a room with the judge and one other girl and not a room full of guys who dont get girl things as well… haha. So that helped a whole lot. The only problem i had in that round was my page not turning… but I didnt freak or let it bother me, I just turned two pages on my next one. WIN. Again, it really really helped that the other girl that was in the round with me when I performed was listening to my performance and it was easy to just be conversational with her rather than be stiff and read a script kinda deal.

The last person in that round took FOREVER to show up, by which point all of our stomachs were knawing on our backbones cause there was food right outside our room and we couldnt get to it yet!

After the round, I ended up not getting to eat anyway… cause it was chicken fingers. Bleh.

I signed in to Flight B round 2 persuasion and left to perform duo first. It went fine. I didnt feel bad about it at all. I took some tylenol right before we performed that… and it didnt hit me… until…

I’d left the bldg where our duo was and was walking to Draper (the main bldg ) and started to get kinda sweaty… even though it was really chill outside. When I got in to the PERS room, I started feeling like I had that morning, like everything in front of me was scrolling upward and I wasn’t really sure why. I started in to my persuasion and just…. lost it. I was really feeling like I might fall over and was so busy worrying about that that I couldnt remember what on Gods green earth I was supposed to be talking about. “The september… the september 19, 2000…… 10… the september 19, 2010 edition of the… age….”
and that is pretty much how bad it was for a minute. At one point in my
“problems”  i knew i was really close to the door to the room, and had a serioud thought about just bolting. I just wanted to cry. At some point, I was drawing another blank and I just put my hands on either side of my face and said I am sorry… Im REALLY losing it. I tried to fight through the speech but I couldnt keep in my head where I was, what I had said, or what came next.

I finally got to sit down. I really felt like I could vomit at that point. I held my head up with my hands on my face for the rest of the round, for fear that if I moved my hands, i would A) vomit B) pass out or C) vomit, then pass out.

FINALLY, the round was over. Jana was in the hall and I just said “I need to lay down” and started crying. I just felt so stupid because I totally BEASTED the persuasion the first roung and couldnt even keep my head on straight this one. Sigh.

Per Jana’s suggestion, I went and sat in the chapel thing where you can just hang out in between rounds and stuff. I sat down in a chair.. and at some point I fell asleep but I kept waking up when I felt my head slide across the wall that I was leaning against and using as a pillow. I tried to think through my speech, but i was totally fried and couldnt make it through my introduction without falling asleep… again.

After about 15 minutes of that, I got up and left the chapel and ran in to drew, who you can always count on for a freaking awesome hug. He, I, Rocko an Josh went outside and Rocko and Drew talked about debate for a while… I just kinda listened while i was leaning my head on drew’s shoulder cause he still had his arm around my shoulder… which was good cause I probably would have fallen over without it.

Anyhow, we finally met up with the rest of the team. Alex, Drew, Kate, Nathan, and Wheezey all broke in events… but I dont remember exactly what. Sorry guys. But great job! =)

We went and ate at… a place that starts with a C… and they have custard…. uh… well… anyway. it was good. thumbs up for them. On the way to the restaurant Alex and I listened to music on his iPod… i think it might be our van ritual. maybe. I love that kid.

Well… we are back in the hotel now. Chip will be really mad when he sees that I am still awake at 2am… but my eyes were not tired until now.

for a whopping total of 18 hours!!

On top of that, I am working in the set/scene shop up to 10 hours per week for work/study, and I just got a job at Food City thanks to the ever amazing Karen Huskins (LOVE her!! and the rest of her family, actually.)

I am in Thoroughly Modern Millie… I have a name but its not a big part so I can’t even remember what it is…. I think Daphne maybe? But mostly just a female ensemble part. I wasnt going to do the show yet, here I am… trying to learn to tap dance… le sigh.

I joined forensics…. no, nothing about dead bodies, but the speech competition-y kind of forensics… and… I love it. I mean, I have not been to a competition or anything yet, but I love the team and most everyone on it is just so awesome and so helpful to lil’ Novice me. My duo (Dramatic Interpretation for two!) partner is Justin, but everyone calls him Wheezey. He’s pretty great! “Word.”

I was pretty stressed out this past week and even moreso the week before (like, crying every single day kinda crazy) but I think even though my schedule is pretty much fit to burst, I am finally getting back into the swing of things… except the swing is a LOT heavier now. Haha.

Oh! Speaking of heavy. Weight loss is still moving, huzzah. Slowly but surely, and you know? I’m okay with that. I don’t have to be all sexified for wedding pictures for quite some time so as long as I lose at a healthy pace and keep the weight off, I’m happy. My most recent weigh in was 194.6 (I think, might have been .2) so… yay. I’ll be really pumped when I break into the 180′s! The least I remember weighing when I was in high school doing weight watchers was 197… so… pretty pleased that I see smaller digits on my lil’ scale! =) Maybe at some point in my life I will make time to do REAL strength training!! Haha

Well… that is all I can think of for now…. so… yeah! Rock on.

Ooooh, Aaaahh. Pretty.

The first thing we went to was Star Tours, which turned out to be a mass motion simulator. It was pretty dorky fun though, the guy who let us in to the simulator had us “use the force” to open the doors. It was funny. Anyway, I don’t really remember what happened in the simulation but I think it was just flying through space and going in to lightspeed and then probably being in mortal peril at some point. Haha.

After that, we went to Jedi Training Academy, which we accidentally almost stood in line for, but the line was for kids who wanted to be IN the academy, not for people who just wanted to watch. So we went to the side of the stage (it was like a thrust stage, but only 2/3 of it were places where you could sit). It was a really funny little “show”- the kids got dressed in the brown Obi Wan Kenobi type cloak things and all got “training lightsabers” which were the ones that you flick to extend.

Jedi Master guy... but I forgot his name... probably something weird.

The all learned like 4 different attacks, then Darth Vader came out and they fought him with their attacks one by one.

Not gonna lie... I like a man in THIS uniform...

The funniest part was that when he said “DUCK!” it took the kids like 2 seconds to register what he had said and they would like stand there with a blank look on their face and then duck, and the jedi master said things like “Nice timing!” or to one kid who was like 2 feet tall he said duck! And the kid never did so the jedi master said “Diiiidnt really have to.” HAHAHA

After that we were going to look for the Honey I shrunk the kids playground but ran in to the MuppetVision 3D show so we went in and watched that. It was really funny. All of the 3D shows we saw were pretty much great, even if we do get splashed or attacked by bubbles every time. Hahaha

After MuppetVision, we found the Honey I Shrunk the kids playground, so we played around there for a while. I came down a big leaf slide and almost died cause it was really fast and went all the way to the ground so when my feet hit the ground I kept moving forward. Hahaha. Oops.

We walked around a bit and I found Sulley from monsters inc! there wasn’t a line to meet him (probably cause it was off the beaten path a little) so I pretty much went straight to him! Haha.

After that we were headed somewhere but ran into the Studio Backlot tour line, which was a 20 minute wait, but I don’t think they had a fastpass option, so we went ahead and waited in that line. It was covered area so it wasn’t a bad wait.

The tour itself was pretty neat. First we saw this special effects bit over the water (I think they were showing us how they did stuff in the movie Pearl Harbor),

That building got flooded. It was pretty awesome.

then we walked through the “props department”, and then on to the part of the tour where we sit in trams and get driven around for a guided tour!

That took us through a thing where they showed us how they create explosions and rain and stuff… they pretty much caught a set on fire and then drowned it.

There was the Boneyard, which was the home to props that are too large to put inside like cars and planes and the bonecage from one of the Pirates movies. So that was cool. They also have their own greens department for “filling in” places on set.

After the riding part of the tour, we walked through a walking tour bit of villians from movies.

Of course I took a picture of this section... its like I can never forget my summer there...

I’m pretty sure we ate lunch after that. We went to Pizza Planet (like the arcade restaurant from Toy Story) and it was pretty good.

After all of that, we finally went to get in line for Toy Story Mania. The wait was LONG though… like I think it was 40 minutes to an hour. We went over to get fastpasses but they had all already been distributed for the day (which was crazy cause it was early). I was asking a worker there what time we should come back for the least line wait time when, once again, our good timing luck chimed in and some guy handed us FastPasses for the ride. We got in in what was probably no more than 15 minutes.

It was crazy cool because we were wearing 3D glasses FOR the ride! It was pretty much a little car thing that you sit in and there is a “gun” on the front (like space ranger spin) and you shoot your gun virtually at the screens in front of you. It was really cool. The best part was that I won!! Not just of me and Jesse, but of the other two people we were up against! WHOO! Ha.

We went to the Prince Caspian behind the scenes thing, but it was pretty lame… basically we all just stood there and watched the Cliff’s Notes for Prince Caspian… but the stone table in the middle of the room was cool, I guess.

At 2 something, we went and saw Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage. It was cool. It was pretty much the whole story condensed into 20 minutes of song and dance! I recorded the whole thing, so hopefully I can put it up somewhere soon.

After B&tB, we went to the Block Party at 3:45. It was fun, but they wanted us to get up and dance, but we just sat and enjoyed the craziness. I would LOVE to be in a parade/show like that.

We rode tower of terror again. The people beside us were FREAKING OUT, which made the ride even more enjoyable for me. Hahaha.

Next we went to the Indiana Jones show. It was really really cool! There was so much that happened I can’t even begin to describe it… it is just something you have to see in real life! Haha

We went back to the resort to watch LOST, but it was only like 7:30 so we went to the main pool (the one with the 3 amigos or carabillos or whatever they are called in the middle) for about an hour.

I was passing out during LOST, so when I went back to my room, I think I pretty much went straight to sleep.

We were headed out to the shuttles but jesse forgot his sunglasses and I forgot my phone so he made 2 runs back for them.

We got on the shuttle in decent time and walked in to the front part of Magic Kingdom after bag checks in time for the back end of the welcome celebration thing. It was really awesome. When they have stuff like that the music comes from all around you and it sounds so cool and gives me cold chills. It was awesome.

We got in and just walked straight to the back part of the park because people tend to fill in the front parts like fantasyland and tomorrowland first

After that we were going to go to toontown but it was closed to open later in the day for some reason so we just took a picture in  front of the sign there. Haha.

after that we walked past the dumbos but there was a HUGE line so we decided to wait to come back during extra magic hours. Haha. So we went to peter pans flight and it was pretty much great. I don’t know why.

It was just a really smooth ride, I guess… kinda felt like we were for real flying even though we were sitting in a boat. Hahaha.

Then we went to it’s a small world which was pretty crazy. It was like 8 minutes of the same song in different languages. Same verse. Kinda crazy. Haha.

After that we went to haunted mansion and I was looking at madam leota’s grave stone cause I thought there was supposed to be a camera in there and she blinked and I screamed and the worker lady standing there laughed at me.

The ride itself was pretty creepy. I don’t remember anything from 2003 except the part where there is a ghost between you. The dancing thing was cool, but you could hear the animatronics clicking above you. Haha

When we went thru the ghost friend thing, our ghost was sitting on my lap. I tried to film it but I think it was too dark. Haha

After HM we went to Splash Mountain! There were tons of signs on the way to the ride that said stuff like “last chance to turn back!” I was like dude, come on. Its not that bad. I think if I have kids that want to wimp out, ill just make them suck it up. Ha.

After that we went to the pirates of the Caribbean ride which I had never been to before so it was a new thing for me but not for jesse. But he didn’t remember much from 21 years ago. Haha

After that we climbed the swiss family treehouse. It was pretty cool except for that it was really crowded when we went on there.

We were walking towards tomorrowland when we ran into some kind of parade thing. It turned out to be the Move It, Shake It block party. It was really really cool. They told us to come dance in the street but then we didn’t really know what to do. Haha

We walked around to the other side and then a conga line started so we did the conga for like 5 minutes. Hahaha. It was pretty great.

We headed in to tomorrowland

and got fastpasses for buzz lightyears space ranger spin and then went towards space mountain. The wait was like 40 minutes so we were going to get fast passes when some random dude was like here let me save you some time and gave us 2 fast passes for space mountain. So that was pretty sweet. We got in in like 5-7 minutes. It was a lot better ride than I remember it. Of course I was in the front and front seats are always better!! Haha

We went to stitch’s great escape which used to be that Extra Terrestrial ride which was WAYYY scary. But the stitch one was not scary or anything… kinda funny though. My shoulder harness got caught too high and so I didn’t get the full experience. Sad. Oh well

After that we used our fastpasses for space ranger spin and I think we kinda accidentally cut line… oops. Anyway, the ride was fun. Whee.

We headed into toontown since it was open and stood in a slow moving line for minnie’s country house. There were these cute british kids behind us and one sprayed herself in the face and said ahhh that’s lovely. It was adorable.

We went to mickey’s house and donalds boat too, but they were pretty lame comparatively. We rode goofy’s barnstormer, which was pretty fun but I wish it would have lasted longer. Haha. I found one of those spinny sky writer things but didn’t buy it cause I thought I could find it different places in the park. Jesse got a frozen lemonade. It was good.

We went to the MK parade at 3pm- it was really good- I liked the music in it a lot. It made me happy and made me reallllly want to work at Disneyworld. Haha.  So I got some pretty great pictures from that. Oh I almost forgot, when we sat down, some Spanish woman came over and started slapping who I assumed was her son… I guess he was supposed to be saving the seats that we took. Haha. Ah well! Mean old fart.

The last float in the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade!!

Somewhere in there we went to mickey’s philharmagic, which was awesome. When the food came out in the beauty and the beast be our guest song, the whole theatre smelled like apple pie. It was great. Haha

When we came out of there, it had been raining so we popped our umbrella and went to the cosmic ray’s restaurant thing that had the veggie burgers and a HUGE toppings/condiments bar thing. Haha.

We ParkHopped over to MGM (now called Disney’s Hollywood studios) after that cause we would have until 2am to play at MK with the extended magic hours. Ha. So we went and went to the great movie ride (which was pretty great) except we didn’t like it when our host got taken and some gangster took over our car. Haha. Cute dude came back though so it is okay. Haha

We rode tower of terror and it was pretty awesome- I filmed most of it. Haha. There was some random comedy troupe thing there and they were pretty funny- I like the “Chinese” woman the best. Haha. We were going to ride toy story mania but it was already closed and then we realized that it was 7:10 and that was why. Haha.

So we went back over to magic kingdom (by FERRY!)

My first ferry ride since Seattle. and I met a guy on there who was FROM seattle and knew exactly where Bainbridge island was! cool!

I was running around like crazy trying to find a spinwriter thing and didn’t know of anywhere to get one so we went all the way back to toontown to get one! Haha

at 9pm was the SpectroMagic Parade- it was okay…. I guess it would have been better if there weren’t 8 million people there.. haha. After that we went and got some ice cream. I got a double scoop of chocolate and cookies and crème. It was so big that I had to put it in a cup! Haha jesee had a coke float. It was good, too.

After that was the Wishes fireworks show- it was good. Tinkerbell ziplined from the top of the castle, so that was pretty sweet. Haha. We totally called that earlier too, cause we were walking along and were like I wonder what that huge long cord is? Yeah, I bet itd made a sweet zipline!! Hahaha

After that we went to tomorrowland and rode the astro orbiter. It was really neat cause it was way up high on top of a building.

After that we rode tomorrowland transit (aka the people mover) and it was actually pretty cool. You get to go inside behind the walls of some of the rides like space mt and buzz lightyear. After that we were going to go to carousel of progress but it was already closed. Oh wells.

We went over to dumbo and stood in a line even though it was close to midnight. Dude, take your kids home! Haha. After dumbo we took some pictures on the stationary dumbo and then Minnie and mickey showed up to ride and everyone freaked out. We went to opposite direction and rode the merry go round.

I just don't get why people get so excited about them. There are WAY better characters, ones that talk!! Haha

After that we finally found the flying carpets and then we watched some guy draw Disney characters on the ground with water. It was sweet.

We went for one final go on space mountain before we left for the night. I think it was about 1am. It was fun. Jesse sat in the front that time though so it was not as great of a ride for me. I only enjoy it in the front seat apparently. Ha.

It took us forrrrrreeeeeeeeeever to get on the shuttle back to the hotel. When we finally did, we had to take a detour because they were repaving the road, some road near MK. We got to see where the monorail trains sleep and where they shoot off the fireworks for Wishes. Then there was some random golfcart in front of us and our bus driver starts yelling for him to get off the road and laid on the horn for like a minute. Dude finally moved and we passed him, then the bus driver said, sarcastically, “did I forget to wish him a magical night?……… OH WELL!!” and we all laughed and clapped. Hahaha.

We got back to the hotel and took off our shoes and put our feet in the pool. It was pretty nice. But then I had to go to the bathroom so I went to the one at the pool so I didn’t have to go in the room and feel awkward if someone went in after me…. Haha.

Me and jesse met up after we took showers to plan out what we wanted to do the next day. After we were done, I went to go back in my room and my card wouldn’t work. I banged on the door but everyone was asleep. I was pretty mad/exhausted/mad. We had to walk alllllll the way to the front desk (our building is a decent walk away from said desk) and she tried to give me some bull about having a chaperone to get a new key, but since it was 3:45ish am she just gave me a temp and told me to come back for a real one later with dr f. psh.

I finally got to sleep at some point after that.

I don’t remember what exactly happened today…

I woke up at 6 something and I was really really grouchy because I had only slept for like an hour and 10 minutes or something. Blah.

Anyway, Mom gave me $50 and we went to Jeff City.

We got there at 7:45… the bus didn’t even show up until like 8:05. It seemed like a forever wait because we were all there early. Haha.

Anyway. We got on the road and I fell asleep pretty soon after that.

They watched The Princess and the Frog, then like, The Blind side, then some comedian (which was actually really funny for what I was conscious for) and then UP… maybe something else. Anyway.

We stopped for lunch in there somewhere.

It was pretty good. I had fries and a side salad. Ha

And I think I fell back asleep after that…

We made another stop and me and jesse didn’t even get off the bus. I don’t even remember getting back on the road.

The next stop was at a gas station, and some federal law makes us have to get off the bus when they are fueling. I got some m&m’s that were pretzel centered. They were okay.

We stopped for supper at some travel center/restaurant.

The cashier was a jerk and the food kinda sucked. So fail for that. But oh well.

We got back on the road and some time later we finally got here.

We turned in circles forever it seemed like. Silly bus driver.

Anyway

We are staying at the All Star Music Resort in Building 7 (Broadway) and im room 4420 or something… I think

Jesse is 2 rooms down.

So yeah. Good trip, not too taxing. Haha.

We went swimming for a while in the piano pool. We tried to play a game of Ultimate but the water was pretty deep. Fail. Haha

Tomorrow we are going to spend a super long day at Magic Kingdom!! YAAA!!

I have like 7hours to sleep so Im going to do that now. PEACE

Only 4 hours until I leave to leave for Disneyworld!

WHOOOOOOOOO!!

CRAZY town day. Haha

Soooo I woke up at 6 in the morning (all by myself- crazy, right? Right.), went and got Jesse at the guy’s dorm (he stayed with David) and met Madison and her roommate Amy at their house to leave for the 5k!

SO- we were like 10 minutes away when there was a scary pop noise behind me. So Madison’s tire had split and the fibers were coming out of it. So weird. Her grandpa came and picked us up at the gas station we pulled in to.

We got to the race right at 8 I think, and we were speed registering Jesse when the race started. Sooo we got like a 3 or 4 minute late start. Sad day.

Sooo yeah, the race went well. It was a really pretty/scenic route. I didnt start hurting until about 1.75 miles when my shoulder started pinching and I started whining.

Anyway, we finished at 42 (nearly 43) minutes which, with our delay means that I definitely beat my time of 42:50 that I did at the Haiti 5k! WHOO!

Fun.

Yay for free fruit and water after races!! Haha

Our first fake finish! Haha- we have to buy the real finish pictures if we want them! Haha

Oh! I forgot to say that my time was 42:53 (the official standings, of course it really was shorter cause of the lateness, you know?) So I was 114th place overall (I think there were 215 people racing). I was 8th out of 20 in the Athena (150+pounds weight class) division. So that is cool.

Our second fake finish! Haha. Those balloons really were the finish line... but they were tied down and stuff.

AH! and I ALSO forgot… they gave out door prizes after the race by the numbers on the purple bracelet things that they gave us at some tent, and of course there were 200+ people there and the odds of winning are slim, right? WELL the first doorprize was a $25 gift card to Wal-Mart and went to number 84158…. “Oh my gosh, thats meeee!” Hahaha SO that was pretty awesome. =)
